FAQ;
Frequently Asked Questions:
Who are the Fulton County Fiddlers?
The Fulton County Fiddlers are a musical ensemble made up of mostly high school music students from across Fulton County. We are students who are interested in stretching our musical abilities by exploring the world of string music outside of the classical tradition.
What kind of music do the Fulton County Fiddlers play?
Hornpipes, Jigs, and Reels, OH MY!!! We specialize in fiddle music for all string instruments. We do a mixture of pop, rock, Irish and Scottish, Celtic, Bluegrass, Blues, and Jazz.
What will I learn with the Fulton County Fiddlers?
You will learn a lot of great music, of course, but also how to make up your own parts, how to improvise, and how to play authentically in various styles. Fiddling takes your technique from good to amazing! You will really start to flow on your instrument.
Where do the Fulton County Fiddlers perform?
We are always looking for new and exciting venues to play all around Georgia! We are hoping to perform at least once a month once we get established. Oh, and we call it ‘gigging’, not performing. J
When do the Fulton County Fiddlers rehearse?
Monday nights from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Chattahoochee High School in the orchestra room.
